The little girl who religiously watched MTV on that big-ass Zenith TV and sang every word of Madonna into her mom’s hairbrush was at the VMAs last night… watching Madonna do her thing. At 68. (@madonna performed Vogue at the VMAs in 1990, FYI)

I saw her perform in Vegas over 20 years ago, and she is STILL the Queen of Pop in my book 👑

Those who know me well know:

🎶 Music is my LOVE. I’d rather listen to music than watch TV, and I have arguably the most eclectic taste in music of anyone you’ll meet
🎶 I have that weird talent of knowing the words to almost every song… even the obscure ones with zero radio play
👗 I will never pass up an excuse to dress up
👀 And who doesn’t love a little people watching?

This is exactly why I say YES to unique LA events that involve art in some way, shape or form. They get me out of the house, and they’re such a healthy break from the everyday monotony of life.

And in a world full of doom and gloom, we could all use more art to brighten our lives… Not AI art… LIVE, IN-PERSON, HUMAN art!

Sure, I didn’t know every single artist who performed, but I walked away a new fan of some, and a more devoted fan of others.
